Do you think we could buy parts to fix this problem or not? My husband was going to disassemble it to see just what is wrong with it but I said I would ask a question to see if you would know what the problem might be. Thank you for your time.

Are you sure it is MAH550BWW and not MAH5500BWW. Sounds like the tub rear bearing is shot. They can be replaced but it is a real pain.
