Checked thermal fuse, power to dishwasher, checked microswitch at door, replaced main circuit board-touchpad still will not work. Any other suggestions

Here are your parts
Parts for Whirlpool KUDI02CRBS1 Dishwasher - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the tech sheet.

If I understand your post correctly both the control board (item 11 in section 02) and the console/keypad (item 1 in section 02) have been replaced.

Re-check the thermal fuse just in case it is blowing as soon as power is applied to the unit.

if OK.
Check the tracks for continuity in the ribbon cable and interconnect PCB (items 3 & 2 in section 02).

Have you for power at the control board, just in case there is a bad connection/wire from the electrical connect box up to the control board?
I have seen where there has been a problem with a wire nut connection after several years of use.

I have not yet replaced the flexible control button touch panel, I did put a new board in, fuse and door micro switch check out good. Reseated all ribbon connectors, no sign of corrosion anywhere. Did not check float level switch, as did not think this could cause the panel to go blank No lights.

Interesting though, when I have the door open and depress the door microswitch down, in about 3 seconds I will hear a noise coming from the DW. But then after a minute or two it quits then nothing else, still no lights on keypad.

I wanted to make sure I actually need a 100$ keypad before I have to eat another expensive part.

You cannot really tell if a ribbon cable is OK just by looking at it.
You have to measure each track with a meter.
A fairly common problem with them is that they can develop hair line cracks across the copper tracks.
Theses can be hard to see even using a magnifying glass.

Do I have to disconnect each ribbon cable and do continuity tests on each single pin? At least one is hardwired.

You could just disconnect it at/from the control board.

And then check the key pinouts as per the tech sheet.
This will then chech the complete control pane circuitry.

If you find a problem then you can disconnect what yo can to try to find where the problem is.

It was the contol panel touchpad that was bad. I did the hair dryer thing and could not bring it back to life so I ordered a new one from the link from this site. Got here quick, good price and well packed. Everything else checked out so this HAD to be it! I have had this thing apart so many times now it only took 20 minutes to replace it and have it up and running. Thanks for your help here all.

Bill in GA.
