When washing clothes the cycle will stop in the middle. I found out that the lid presses through the metal to a plastic assembly that triggers the washer to spin. Well, that piece broke. So I ordered a new assembly. My question is how do I install it. Looks like I have to take off the top part of the washer. How do you do that?? Thanks.

The top DOES NOT come off!!!!! find the 2 screws that hold the console in place, remove them, slide the console foward 1/2" and rotate it over backwards. Remove the Gold colored clips by inserting a flat screwdriver and PRYING backwards. Unplug the 3 wire lid switch connecter, pull the ENTIRE cabinet off by lifting the rear up and then sliding it forward.:)

When you say console, what exactly are you referring too? If you can describe the whole process again, so I can understand it. Thanks.

Get the cabinet sitting back onto the base frame, open the lid and hook the lip on the bottom of the cabinet, under the frame at the front of the washer. then allow the cabinet to fall back to level, There are 2 tabs on the rear SIDES of the frame, These slide into 2 slots in the cabinet bottom, once you have the cabinet in place, Hold the clips in your hand, with the 1/2 loop between your thumb and finger, The SMALL 90degree end goes into the SLOT in the REAR panel with the end facing up(that lines up with the SQUARE HOLES) Then the 1/2 loop "POPS" down into the top of the washer!!!!!:)
