The fuse you replaced should be open. It will only read closed when it gets hot and it is very important that you have the correct fuse. If the fuse on the left now reads closed, you have the wrong fuse in there. It is actually a thermostat that, when the oven heats, closes to turn the fan on. If you have a wrong one in there, the fan will turn off when the oven gets hot. The board you replaced is the front display board, not the correct one that has likely failed. The board you likely need is the one that is mounted under the cooktop, encased in a plastic frame, mounted on the RH side behind the control you replaced. The board I believe you need is pictured and available at the link below.

You can test the transformer behind that board, as if it is bad, you will also have no oven. However, I have no test points to give you as the tech sheet does not show where the voltage leaves that transformer. So, test from each output lead to ground, looking for any of them to read DC voltage. I do suspect the board to be bad though, much more likely than that transformer.

Ninja No problem. Props out to you. I installed the Old control panel back and packed up the new one to ship back. I do agree with you I think its the other board behind the control panel. I am going to take that out tomorrow and see if I can play with testing that transformer tomorrow after work. At least the stove top has been working and between that and my grill I have been ok. Again thanks for all your help. I will keep you and the public here updated as to my progress. Great forum board and you are a Ninja master of knowledge. Thanks again.

I feel bad you got no response initially, I know how frustrating it is to tackle these issues with no help. Thank you for your kind words and please do keep me posted. I have fought with Kitchen Aid over this design since it was introduced, and a simple suggestion to you, even though it is not as it should be, use the self clean cycle sparingly and do not do so right before needing to use it soon. This is a very common problem and one that has been very frustrating to many consumers!

Funny thing is. I have always just cleaned the inside of the oven with elbow grease. I was going to use the self cleaning oven feature that Saturday night but fell asleep. So Sunday morning around 10:30 AM with plans to cook Chicken Parm that afternoon I decide to use the feature for the first time in 3 years. Aagain I love the range itself. But I walked by the stove that morning and was like OK let me use the self cleaning feature. Once I fix this problem and getting up and running. Never again will I use the self cleaning feature. Never again. I have also tried to call KitchenAid and cannot get through. I will send them a nice letter or something. But never never will I use the Push that self cleaning button again. I am a jack of all trades but it is frustrating when you are not sure. Glad to find this site and tap into knowledge from peeps like you. Yes of course I will update everyone.

Update: My part came in the mail today. #9762774 Had to take a lot of the stove a part to get to this board. Of course as always I took picture so I knew where all the wires went to. Put the new board in and put the stove back together. Plugged her back in and UGH !!! Still no power to the control panel. I am guessing now its the transformer. When I open it back up to take out the new board and put the old one back I guess I will do a better examination of the wiring to see if anything looks burnt out or out of the ordinary. Could I be missing something else. I won't give up. A thermal switch and 2 boards later I am going to fix this thing some how some way.
