My GE washer GTWN5050M0WS is not spinning out all the water out of clothes, I took the front cover off and watched a cycle and it looks like it is working fine but I am not sure how fast it should be spinning. Since heavy clothes like jeans and towels are still very wet when the spin cycle is over I am assuming it is not spinning fast enough. I noticed the drive pulley has a little play in it but not sure if that is normal. The washer is not very old approximately 3-4 years. Any help would be great.

Thanks

On top of the motor is a metal cover. Under that cover is a green flashing light. How many flashes between pauses, please? Also, does the water pump out rather quickly?

On the right side of my motor under the metal cover I have a red flashing light, I did not see a green one any where. It stayed red during a whole wash cycle. I did notice during the spin cycle the red light flashed fairly regularly but sometimes you would see it flash a couple of times fast then resume a normal flash. It also looked like when it flashed fast that the spin would slow down.

Thanks for the help

Thank you! Does the water pump out quickly when the pump is initiated? If you select a spin only cycle and start it, does it come to full spin speed?

It looks like it drains fine but I don't think it spins as fast as it should. Also is the red blinking light normal, should it be green?

The light color is not important, but the number of flashes is. At rest, how many flashes between pause?

Single flash then pause at rest.

Here is a video of it spinning

Yeah, that is too slow. It was flashing during that video but the camera moved at 5 flashes. Can you spin it again, counting the flashes between pauses again, please.

Do you want to know the flashes while it is running or when the washer is not on?
