Washer will fill and then not go into next cycle.
I smell a burning rubber smell the longer I leave the knob pulled out.
I will hear a hum for a while and then it goes away. I will push the knob in and wait for a few hours and when I pull the knob out, the hum comes back.
After that, I can spin the knob clockwise while pushed in and hear/feel the clicks. If I do that quickly a few times, it will start to engage and I can feel it trying to come on in certain positions.
Eventually it will turn on when I spin it enough times.
I already replaced the timer, thinking that was the problem but that did not fix it.
Yesterday I tried it again and I could not get it to come on at all.
This started about four months ago and has progressively gotten worse.
Any Ideas?
