Hello to all. It's my first post here and to the creators: Thank you for this very useful forum.

To inform you of my problem, I have a LG Inverter DirectDrive dishwasher. It's been installed in our house since August 2011.

Apparently the detergent and rinse-aid dispenser does not work properly. It does not release the cleaning tablet from it's place when it's supposed to.

I ran the dishwasher twice last night, the second time by leaving the dispenser lid open in hopes that the tablet would fall in and clean, but no such luck.

I use the Finish cleaning tablet brand since we had this dishwasher installed and it's been the best brand we use to date, so I know that's definitely not the problem.

I looked up this dishwasher's manual online and the functions of the detergent aid, it could be that the rinse aid liquid has run out and needs to be refilled. I am aiming to do this but I want to be 100% sure and some advice just to confirm my understanding is what I need best.

And in case people are unfamiliar with this brand, here is the manual: http://www.appliancefactorypart...ontent/pdfs/137897-8.pdf

Thanks for any advice you can give. Appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I checked the top of the dishwasher lid as per online instructions and here's what I found: P/No: 3850DD3006J

Would that be it?

I opened out the dishwasher and here are some details about the Dispenser I found:

It's an ELTEK

Type: 100416

I think these are power requirements: 110+240V 50/80 HZ

PP-T30 I'm not sure what this is. It's the number on the section that releases the tab into the tub. Is this dispenser or it's functions familiar to anyone?

Things are piling up in the kitchen since the dishwasher stopped working for the past 3 days and we're concerned here
