i ordered the timer knob and wanted to install it. i need to take off the front panel to replace the timer knob. please tell me how to do that. kenmore washwer 417.29042992. make WCI part number 131446203

The Timer stem got bent during a move on our heretofore perfectly working 417.29042992.
I've already broken the teeth off the knob retaining ring trying to remove the front panel. I'm in deep need of a service manual before I rack up more expense than I can afford to fix.

Every link I've discovered thus far, are no longer working.
