Dryer cuts off when it warms up, will run on air dry only setting. What do I need to replace?

Here are your parts Parts for Kenmore Dryer 11082826102 - AppliancePartsPros.comThe Sears parts site does have actual part breakdown diagrams. Unfortunately they do not share these with other part suppliers. See the attachment for the tech sheet. Can you reatart the unit right away? if not then it could be the motor is overheating. This then trips it's internal thermal protect and you have to wait for it to cool down and the protect to reset before it will start. Check that all the connections are good. |

The dryer can be started right away, as I said it will run a full cycle as long as heat isn't involved. Is there a thermostatic part that can be replaced?

No, there is nothing other than the motpor's thermal protect that should shut the unit off.
The thermal cutoff and the hi-limit thermostat only shut off the heater.
You could check the thermistor with a meter.
It sounds like the heat is causing expansion at a connector or the board and then shutting it down but finding it is going to be a pain.
Might be that the control board is bad. |
