The set points for the freezer and refrigerator are the recommended 0 and 37 degrees. Intermittently the digital display indicates approximately 5 and 45 degrees for the freezer and refrigerator sides. The display seems accurate. When this complaint occurs, there is ice at the back of the interior freezer wall and the ice cubes are melting. On the refrigerator side the vegetables in the lower bin are frozen but the rest of the refrigerator is warm as indicated by the digital display. This condition is intermittent (it happens may be once a week or once a month) and corrects itself after I leave the refrigerator unplugged for a while. Does this refrigerator have several problems or is there just one component that is intermittently causing these symptoms? What is the logical diagnostic troubleshooting procedure for me to follow the next time this complaint occurs?

You might have an intermittent evaporator fan motor, next time if fails, just check. The other possibility is a bad solder joint in the back of the motherboard. Typically ,the compressor will fail to run if that's the problem.
If it seems stuck in defrost ( nothing will run), you have a bad/intermittent evaporator thermistor.

I replaced the evaporator fan motor as recommended and the refrigerator worked fine for several weeks. Now I have the same issue and unplugging the refrigerator is not correcting the issue. Once again, there is ice at the back of the interior freezer wall and the ice cubes are melting. On the refrigerator side the vegetables in the lower bin are frozen but the rest of the refrigerator is warm as indicated by the digital display. What part or parts should I now order? I should also mention that when the issue occurs, the original evaporator fan motor is not running. The new evaporator fan motor also does not run when this issue occurs.

Most probably a bad motherboard.

I see there is no repair video on your web site. Does the mother board just plug in or is soldering required? What parts do I need to remove to reach the mother board?

Just pull off the small, back panel, then use small pliers to release the nylon pins.

The mother board has definitely corrected the complaint. Thank you for all your assistance. The only issue that I have is the freezer and refrigerator actual temperatures used to vary by 1 degree from the set point. With the replacement mother board, the temperatures now vary by up to 3 degrees from the set point. I will live with this unless you know of a solution.
