About six months ago, the icemaker in my refrigerator stopped working. It was actually full of ice that could not be ejected. I had to basically chip it out to clear it.
Since then, it will no longer even attempt to produce ice by filling the reservoir. I looked at the optics, and the red light blinks twice, then repeats after a pause. I believe that is correct the correct behavior.
I have removed the icemaker from the fridge and completely reseated it. I also tested to see if the water fill coming from the top of the fridge was frozen, but it was not. I used a hair dryer to heat up the top of the fridge in case the tube had frozen, but to no avail. Lastly, the fridge is getting water as the in-door water supply does work.
Any suggestions?
