I have a kenmore elite dryer model no. 110 C60992990
I'm not sure the year of it, as it came with the house we boughtb(looks fairly new). I had a blanket in there and about 2 hours after the cycle finished I noticed the blanket was still damp, so I re-started the dryer for about 40 mins. With that said, 10 mins later I heared a beep and the dryer shut off. I opened it, to find it was quite hot inside (blanket still damp). I immediately tried to start it again, it would start for literally about 2 seconds then would beep and shut off. I don't have the owners manual, so is this normal, or is my dryer on the fritz??
Thank you in advance!

Sounds like your having an issue with the moisture sensor cycle.....They shut off after about 10-15 minutes because it thinks the clothes are dry............There should be 2 metal rounded pieces about 6-8 inchers long right side by side inside the unit......make sure they are clear of any clothing or debris caught inside it.....then check to make sure the wires leading to those bars are connected a wire off can cause this. Try using the timed dry cycle if the timed dry cycle dries your clothes in about 40-50 minutes it's a problem with your moisture sensor circuit or your timer/board. Good luck

Can you restart the unit right after it shuts off?

If you have to wait several minutes before it will start again then it could be that your motor is overheating for some reason.
