I have a Kenmore Elite undercounter dishwasher and while trying to manually open the soap dispenser to see if it had soap, the little latch for the door popped out. Trying to re-insert the post into the hole - the latch will not stay in place and the springy door pulls it back out. Can this be fixed or do I need a new dispenser??

The post that pops out has an actuator arm attached to the end that has fallen off and will probably show up inside the door. You need a #15 Torx screw driver to remove 6 screws holding the front panel on. Recover the actuator arm and press it back on the shaft.
