Ice maker stopped making ice. I replaced ice maker assembly. I got about 5-6 cycles of ice made, and then it stopped harvesting ice again (there were ice cubes in tray). About 5 days later, the cycle started again, and the ice tray got about half full, then no more harvest cycle (again, ice in the tray). When I check ice tray sensor with flapper closed, the red beam continues 2 quick blinks and hesitation, etc. With the flapper closed, isn't red beam supposed to not blink and remain a steady beam? Or do you think a water fill valve problem?

Tic29450, You're most likely issue is the PC Board Kit

Part number: AP3137510
Part number: AP3137510

" 1. OPEN THE FREEZER DOOR > 2 PULSES FOLLOWED BY A 1 SECOND DELAY. (REPEATED) > A.THE FLAPPER DOOR ON THE EMITTER IS BLOCKING
THE BEAM.> B.THE OPTICS ARE FAULTY. 2.PRESS IN THE EMITTER FLAPPER DOOR TO UNBLOCK THE BEAM. > 2 PULSES FOLLOWED BY A SECOND DELAY. (REPEATED) > A. THE OPTICS ARE FAULTY B. LED IS ON SOLID > OPTICS ARE WORKING CORRECTLY"

Wouldn't expect the fill valve to be the issue at this point, based on your post information.

Thanks for the quick reply, Joe M. I ordered the optic sensor and we'll give a try.

Great !

Just remember to remove power to the refrigerator before you start, you don't want to damage any new parts or shock yourself, working on the refrigerator. Give the refrigerator a few hours(4 to 8) to make several batches of cubes.

Let us know how the repair went, once you're finished.
