clean light flashing - I did the service diagnostic cycle but didn't seem to help. from what I have read about it either the heater or thermostat must be bad. Is that correct?

Hi,

Yes, you are on the right track. If both the heater and the hi-limit thermostat are good, replace the control board.

Part number: W10134009

- The hi-limit thermostat Part number: 661566
Part number: 661566

- The control board Part number: 8564547
