Hi, I have a Kenmore Coldspot model 59762990, manufactured in 1999. It has worked flawlessly until this week when we noticed the freezer and the fridge are not cooling. Power is on, lights are on, sound like it's running, but it's not cooling. Any suggestions are much appreciated. Thank you.

You seem to be missing the first 3 digits in the model number. Most Kenmore model numbers are 3 digits, a period and then an additional 8 or so digits.
First confirm that the compressor is running. You can usually hear it but you should also be able to feel it vibrating and it should be warm.
It is important to differentiate between No Cooling and Some Cooling just not enough.
With a running compressor:
No Cooling (no frost on the evaporator coils) usually means a sealed system problem. This will be an expensive repair as you need a pro. Often it makes more sense to put those dollars towards a new unit.
Some Cooling can be a bad evaporator fan, a defrost problem, a sealed system problem, a bad condenser/compressor fan or very dirty condenser coils. |

Hi, I wonder if someone can help me pretty quickly. I have a Kenmore Coldspot Model 106.56689502 Manufactured in 2006. Both Freezer and refrigerator all of a sudden are not cooling at all. Here are the symptoms/observations so far:
- hear fan inside freezer comes on - don't feel any air blowing over ice maker like usually do - don't hear the compressor coming on - don't hear any rattling when shaking start relay on compressor - don't hear any clicking noise like the compressor is trying to start - fan near compressor is spinning/blowing
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

You are correct. The first 3 numbers are 106. So the whole number looks like 106.59762990. I unplugged it for 3 days, just plugged it back in. I will let you know if there is some cooling or no cooling. I can hear it running, and can hear it "kick in". I'll weigh back in shortly. Thank you.

Please help me refrigerator works but freezer wont freeze. I cleaned the coils made sure that nothing is blocking the vents. Its blowing cold in both the freezer and refrigerator. I hear the condenser turn on and it blows heat out on the bottom outside of the freezer. But i dont feel any air blowing out at the bottom vents behind the draw in the freezer if it is supposedly to.i have to checked the seals and they look fine. Model#5945990 serial#SI8332928
