HELLO,
My microwave oven control panel gives me a "DOOR" message whenever I press "start" to get things cooking. Everything else on the oven combo works fine. I have checked the three microwave oven door switches (primary and secondary interlock switches, and monitor switch), wires disconnected, and they are all okay. I just finished replacing the control panel and the problem remains. Now I'm thinking it must be a wire connection. I can't see anything obvious. If it means anything, the problem disappeared by itself for a couple of days, but now appears permanent. Thanks for any words of advice on how to proceed.

Hello Brian,

Check for continuity the 20 amps fuse behind the control panel. It will cause such error code if it's blown.

Hello Gene,
Thanks for your reply to my question. I checked the 20 amp fuse and it's okay. Looking at your reply to Richard who had a similar problem, I'll check the 15 amp fuse on the back right and let you know what I find.

Hello again Gene,
I've been reading some other related posts and I understand that I should next test the 15A fuse at the back right of the microwave oven. Then the cavity TOD and the magnatron TOD. I'll get back to you if I can't figure out how to identify and test TODs.

Gene: Once again, thank you for your help. The problem was indeed the fuse (20 Amp) at the back of the unit. Sadly, just as I was feeling really good about things, heating up a celebratory coffee, the door spring broke. At least I know how to fix this; I replaced one three years ago.
