I have a Kenmore Elite He4 gas dryer that I bought used. It is about 5 years old! It worked when I put it in and ran 6 loads. Last night we ran a load through it and it was fine but today it will not run. I have a light when you open the door and a light when I set the level control setting but I don't have a light on the dryer selection side of the board and it will not run! I took the covers of and all the connections look good. Do you have any ideas?

check the door switch, there are three wires on it, one goes up to the lite. hook the other two together and see if it will run. if not it sound like a bad control. there also should be a safety fuse on the dryer that can be jumped for testing. it may look like a small round thermostat with two wires or a 1 inch white fuse, usually on the back behind back panel, also can be jumped for testing. they usually go bad from vent problems. be very careful when making these "live electricity" checks. if not comfortable do not attempt.

No I already tested the door switch last night to. I did get it to light up after it was unplugged overnight by pushing more less more less and it kicked up a code 88. Now it wont do that either.

https://secured.whirlpoo...64beaa/$FILE/Duetdry.pdfthis is a pdf on the dryer. it contains the troubleshooting guide and error codes. it begins in section 5. i believe page 5-4 is where it begins. it does sound like a control board issue at this point. before replacing the board, remove it and look at the back of the board at the solder joints for the relays. there could be a bad solder connection. if it is, resolder and check the operation. if i can be more help, let me know
