After I turn off the power for 10 minutes or so it recovers and is good for another 1 - 5 months. I'm not sure how to diagnose this intermittent problem. Could it be a control panel in the freezer? -- A Defrost timer somewhere? Any advice would be appreciated. I'm not sure where all the controls are located in this unit so please reply with the location of the suspected 'bad' part if you can.

Looks like it comes as part of a kit so odds are that they have had problems in this area. It is the only electronic part in the unit so is the only part that will reset with a power reset.
