Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 3/12/2013(UTC) Posts: 1		All the buttons on my Whirlpool Gold gas dryer light up, and beep properly when the buttons are pushed, but when I push the Start button, I hear a "click" sound, and the sensing light flashes, but it doesn't start. Smacking the top of the dryer sometimes gets it to finally turn on:confused: Could replacing the control board be the "fix"?

The most common problem with controls is bad connections. The other thing to check would be the door switch, it's #10 on the diagram.
