Top freezer model. After a recent lightning strike, refrigerator section appears OK. Freezer keeps most items frozen, but ice cream stays soft. The front of the refrigerator (between the two doors) stays warm to the touch. I suspect that the defrost heater stays on, but I cannot explain how the compressor could run while the defrost heater is on. Could the lightning have produced a weld in the defrost timer?
