I have a MAYTAG MAV3855AWW washing machine that is spinning slow it also agitates slow.Can someone tell me what’s wrong with it?

Hi.

The motor on this washer is reversible. By gliding on the motor plate it's regulating the tension on the belt.More tension - grater the speed.
Check both pulleys, belt, drain pump pulley, motor plate.
The belt isn't suppose to slip.
