My Kenmore elite slide in gas oven - the oven light won't shut off. Could it be the control pad sensor?

Does it beep when you push it?

If it does then more likely the problem is a bad control board.

If it does not then the keypad, which is a part of the control panel has to be replaced.

- The control board Part number: 316418782
Part number: 316418782

- The control panel Part number: 318335810
Part number: 318335810

there is no beep when I try to shut off the light. Is there anyway I can just remove the light bulb?

Yes, you can do it. Just follow the instructions in the Owners manual.
