I have read posts with washers with the similar issue - itermittent spin cycle. After draining, I can hear the motor continuing to run, but can tell the basket is not spinning. When I open the lid, the motor shuts off; as the motor spins down, the transmission sometimes clicks into gear. I can tell because the basket moves slightly. Once this happens, the basket spins properly. If I'm not around the babysit the machine, I often find soggy clothes in the bottom of the basket. I then have to reset the machine to a spin cycle and play the open/close game with the lid to get the transmission to engage. What part(s) do I need to replace to fix this issue?

After draining, the motor should pause for a few seconds and then start back up again to start spinning while continuing to drain. If it isn't pausing, the timer is likely defective.

Eric Thanks Eric. The motor did not pause. I replaced the timer and everything seems to be working well.
