I have a smaller under-counter refrigerator, that has a Temp controller/thermostat unit --- and when first plugging in the unit, it powers on cold and holds temp. If I adjust the temp and turn the control to a certain point-- it shuts off the refrigerator. It will NOT cycle back on regardless of how long I wait or where I turn the control from there.
Instead of me saying I think it is 'this' -- what should I check? It so happens that I have 4-of these units with the same issue as this that I bought at an auction. My goal is to turn them into kegerators, but have to be able to set the temp to specific temp first.
Thanks!

HI. Based on the info you provided it's a bad cold control. You can test it for continuity or install the jumper wire and check if it'll kick in. The cold control kit Part number: 2923-S
Post the results. Simon.

Wow, you are right on! I jump the controller, and walla! IT fires right up. I have an ice maker too that is about 9-yrs old, and I bet...... same thing! I will purchase a couple of control units, and post the results once the swap is complete.
