water does not appear to be circulating properly inside. I reviewed some similar posts. I was not able to run a test cycle - for some reason it will not initiate by pressing the power scrub with regular wash and power buttons. There does seem to be a different noise down low and not the typical sound when it was running normally. I cleaned out the filters. There only seemed to be about 1/4" of water, so I added some. Still ran about the same. I also have a different issue that the soap door does not open consistantly. Any thoughts? Is it worth having someone take a look to confirm?

Are you willing to fix it yourself and save some money? If yes then we can guide you through. Quote: ...Is it worth having someone take a look to confirm?... It depends on their honesty and prices. Gene.

Gene. I would be willing - I was originally thinking it was the circulating pump, but considering this is an expensive part, I would not want to be wrong.

Remove the toe panel and check if the circulation pump motor is working or making any noise while the control is calling for wash. Post the results.
Gene.

It appears that it is working. It is making a noise - sounds like a cherry pit in a garbage disposal. I ran it with the door open - water shoots up the bottom arm about 5" and only trickles out the top arm.

Try to add manually 2 cups of water after the wash cycle started. If you will see any improvement, replace the water inlet valve. If nothing changed, you'll have to remove the circulation pump and replace the impeller. - The circulation pump repair kit Part number: 167085

Thank you for the information. One last question - I previously added water so that it was operating with about 1" in the base. It seemed to improve it a bit, but water was not coming out of the top arm. Therefore, I assume it is the water circulation repair kit that I need. However, it seems like the water level is a bit low as well - hom much water should be in the base? What is the best way to actually replace the parts? THank you for your help.
