brief history: Last week the washer would not spin. found the data sheet. Ran the diagnostic. Fualt code of E47. Followed trouble 9. Resistance was 1260 on the door sw assy. ordered a new control board. put it in. Had some trouble with the digital readout. One of the settings was dashes. never saw that before.

Did I install the board incorrectly? I didn't know how to align the pin(shaft for the knob). I am starting to think that I put it in 180 degrees out. I am not able to find the diagnostic setting now.

I ran the machine(not sure what the setting was) and saw E47 again. Great. So it's possible that the new board is not the answer.

Can anyone give me some ideas on how to align the pin or give me some feedback on my progress thus far. thank you

Frigidaire LTF2940EE0. It's a front loading machine I think we bought it 2 years ago.

o.k. the service manual had a great explanation of what the door lock switch does. I knew the wax motor was a solinoid of sorts but couldn't figure out what it really did.

O.K. back to my problem... I ordered the door lock assy because I remember closing the door a couple of times while the door lock should've been engaged. didn't think much of it at the time but now it seems to be the problem. switch should be here tomorrow afternoon.

how can you tell if the air shocks are working? my wife seems to think that washer is moving around more than in the past. she thought that the washer not working and the drum a little loose may be related. what are your thoughts?

success. the switch/door lock assy did the trick. The wax motor checked good at 1260 ohms on the old sw, so I thought that the control board was bad. when I swapped out the control board and still had the E47 fault. then it had to be the sw/lock assy.

Thank you for your help. This forum is a great resorce. I learned a lot by reading the service manual. I work on h-60 and c-130 avionic systems. This was a nice to use those skills at home.

Check if the washer is properly leveled according to the Installation instructions.

Remove the bottom panel and watch the shocks during the wash cycle.
