OK guys, per your advice from a previous post of mine I jumpered the mother board between line and def and the defrost heater got hot immediately. So I am going to replace the motherboard. While at it I am going to go ahead and replace the def heater as the present one looks a little ragged and from reading of the frequency of failure.I think I might as well also replace the thermostat while in there. (all parts purchased from this site of course). Is there anything else I should do in your opinion?.....Thanks for the help.

PS....The ice maker makes ice good but when using the dispenser from the door the little flapper spring is to tight and wont allow the ice to fall....any suggestions here?

The door is controlled by a solenoid which may be sticking or the hinge or linkage may be defective.
