Compressor is cool on top and warm on bottom and sounds like it normally would. I don't hear any clicking or suspicious sounds. All lights and fans work. The edges of the fridge doors are hot, but the heater under the coils in the back of the freezer isn't hot.
I replaced control board under the fridge light with a refurbished one but couldn't get the correct display to show where you set the code, so I put the old board in and code is correct on it. Not sure if the old board is good or not. I bypassed the defrost thermostat by cutting wires and tying them together. Nothing changed so I reconnected them. Does anyone have any advice on what else to try or check? Thanks...

Sounds like there is a problem with the sealed system. The pressure in the system has to be checked by a certified tech.

Gene.
