 Hi: A few months ago, my washer started having a problem with the spin cycle. It would go through the wash cycle and rinse cycle but sometimes at the end of the wash, the clothes are still wet. If the basket was turned manually, something catches and the spin cycle would then work. At other times, the spin cycle would work by itself. A week ago, it developed a second problem, it was filling up with water and draining. However, it was not agitating and the basket was not moving at all. The motor was running but there was a loud noise. The bottom of the washer was checked for grease stains but none were found. The motor coupling has since been replaced and the washer is now going through the wash cycle but is still not spinning. I desperately need your help. Thanks so much for your immediate reply.

The likely problem is with the clutch. Read the Sticky at the top of the main washer page by Richappy on direct drive brakes, then replace this part Part number: AP3094537
and check the brakes to make sure they are releasing during spin. The video on the part page will take you through the process.
