Hi,
I have a Maytag fridge that is not cooling at all. I put a thermometer in it and it says 60 all the time. However, the freezer is working fine. Hubby took the panel off the back and cleaned out the whole inside which did have a lot of dust. He cleaned the pan underneath. But, nothing seems to work.

Any ideas?

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's open.

If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

In this digram of your controls the vent is at the back of it. You may need to take the cover off to get to it. Part 11. Replacement parts for MAYTAG PTB2153DRQ | AppliancePartsPros.com
