Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/21/2012(UTC) Posts: 1		I washed a very full load of clothes, halfway through the rinse cycle the washer made a loud noise (screeching, grinding, whining). I watched for a minute and it wouldn't agitate. I closed the lid and put it on spin and the water comes out but the tub won't spin. I took out all the clothes and tried a cycle again and it barely agitates but still won't spin. Help!

If it is agitating then the coupling is not the issue. The most likely issue is the clutch. Replace it and check the brakes (see the Sticky by Richappy at the top of the washer page) and that should fix things.
