Hi,
After a thunderstorm my wife tried to use this washer & the display seems fine, but it buzzes and keeps filling with water and will not proceed thru cycles.

Bad Main Control board? Is it worth fixing?
Thanks.

These are great machines, but the electronics on them are extremely complicated. I would replace it. If you have a low enough deductible on your home owners ins they may pay for part of the cost.

Since all of the display seems OK - would you replace the "main board" ? Does the 1 year return policy apply if I do?

Also I have a GE side-by-side refrigerator GSS23Q series that keeps freezing up - how hard is it to determine if it is a PCB in the back or a element, or hi limit, etc? Is there a schematic for it? Fan in freezer had been pulsing up & down in speed intermittently for the last year or so prior to that...

I can defrost with a hair dryer & it works for almost a week & freezes solid.

Thanks!

If you want to try to fix the LG I would replace the main board. Check with APP on their return policy (those of us who reply here are volunteers and not associated with the company)

On the refrigerator I would start with the thermostat, and you can find an exploded view of the fridge by using its model number and the "Find Parts" page.

Good luck.
