My magic chef oven model#6498vrv is not maintaing proper temperature. I have replaced the oven sensor. Then checked oven temperature with a thermometer and temperature is off by 200-300 degrees. Last year I replaced the touch panel , which fine. I have searched for other parts that might be the problem, I found Relay board
Part Number: AP379876 made by MAYTAG could this be needed? Any other suggestions or parts would be greatly appreciated. I'm sure there is a thermastat somewhere built into a part, could that relay board be it ?
Thank You Michaelman31

Most likely the problem with your oven is a bad control board (aka clock).
This is the part which operates with the relay board due the oven sensor readings.

- The part number for the clock AP382949

- Here are the break down diagrams for the Magic Chef range Model 6498VRV

Your oven does not have any thermostats, just the control board.

Unfortunately I do not have the wiring diagram for your oven.

Yes Gene is 100% correct on diagnosing the clock. Maytag (Magic Chef) clocks are known for going eratic in the temperature department.
