I installed the new ice maker I received from this co. It still won't make ice, no water is being dispensed to the maker. The water from door works normally. What else can I do to diagnose the reason for it not working ?

Hi,David.

First check the water valve by switching around electrical plugs at the valve and pressing the water lever at the dispenser.
If the icemaker fills up - the valve is good.

Next - check the optic controls.

Make sure it's on. Open the freezer door and view the LED status:
Two pulses followed by a one second delay. Could be the flapper door is open or the icemaker is in the harvest mode.
Press in the freezer door switch.
When in the harvest mode, the LED will flash once every second.
No lamp - replace the control.

Press in the flapper door:

Two pulses followed by the a one second delay - the optics are bad.
LED is steady on - the optics are good.
