My GE front load washer sounded like it is going to shake the house down when it was spinning the today. Then yesterday I noticed some smoke in the laundry room. My husband removed the top of the washer to see if he could see where it was smoking from with no such luck. When he removed the bottom front panel he said the pump wasn’t hot and the plastic drum had a small hole worn in it that was dripping some water. It seems to only smoke when the washer is rinsing/draining and spinning. Anyone have any idea what we can try?? We are newly married and on a budget and repair technicians are soooo expensive; it would be great if it was something my husband could fix. I really need this fixed, PLEASE HELP US!!!!!

Where exactly is this hole? Can you refer to the diagram?
