Hi smpmagic

To make the right decision it is very important how you measure the temperature in your oven. The thermometer has to be placed in the middle of the oven cavity. Set the thermostat for 350 degrees and do not open the oven door for at least 15 minutes after the oven indicator light will go off. Let me know the thermometer reading.

Hi Gene,
I followed your instructions and the thermometer read 400 degrees after the preheat light had been out for about 15 min. Oven temp was set for 350

The difference in 50 degrees is to much for the calibration. In such case the oven thermostat has to be replaced.

- The part number for the oven thermostat AP3559535
