Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 9/13/2007(UTC) Posts: 4		The oven in the house I'm renting is burning all my meals!!!! I hung an oven thermomter in the oven and it is reading about 25-50 degrees higher than what it is set for. what could be causing this, and how can I fix it?

The thermometer has to be placed in the middle of the oven cavity. Set the thermostat for 350 degrees and do not open the oven door for at least 15 minutes after the oven indicator light will go off. Let me know the thermometer reading. Gene.

In such case the oven thermostat has to be replaced. - The part number for the oven thermostat AP3559535 Gene.
