I have a GE dryer DJXR433EG1WW
HM724989A

I JUST replace the heater element and put it all back together,
question: is it ok for it to look red hot in the back when its on hi I have never done this befoer?
also the dryer will not stay on unless I hold the on button on its position and it was working before please help

Hi.

You should check the idler spring switch (actuates by the idler pulley spring next to the motor) and belt.
