I have had this washer for about 3 1/2 years, no problems till now. When I start the wash cycle water fills the bleach dispenser also. Everything else seems to work fine wash, rinse, spin. I can't use the bleach because of this.

In order to provide most accurate advice we need the complete model number of the washer.

It is MOD MAH6500AWW. I was at work and didn't have that on my first post.

I'm having the same problem, but my Maytag Neptune model number is MAH3000AWW. The parts diagram doesn't seem to show a solenoid for this model. Which part is the most likely culprit and which components must be removed in order to access it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

jjrapp, Most likely the problem is a bad wax motor in the dispenser. This part does not come separate and you have to replace the whole dispenser assembly. - The part number for the dispenser assembly is AP252043 Here are the break down diagrams for the Maytag Neptune washer Model MAH3000AWWGene.

Thanks for the quick reply. Now I can't figure out how to access the dispenser assembly. The top cover seems to be held down by the top cover spacers and the corner braces. Perhaps I have to remove the door and the shroud brackets first? Or is there a quick release for the top cover?

The linkage between the wax motors and the rotary nozzle had a fair amount of calcification build-up. After cleaning that area, the dispenser now works just fine. Thanks for the help! :)
