dryer doesn't stop working w/ door closed ( timer is bad ? )

dryer is in good condition. However, if I after I closed the door during cycle starts immediately The only ways it's stays off is with the door open. Do I need to replace the timer?

A model number may help others help you.
Sounds like the start switch is shot (contacts welded together). If it is part of the timer then I would replace the timer. |
