I can tell you the issue and solution I had. There's a small plastic retainer that holds the cable in place on the board. The retainer came away with the cable when I removed the cable from the old board. However, the new board comes with the retainer already installed. You need to take the retainer off of the new board, slide it over the bare ribbon cable, gently press the cable into its slot, and slide the retainer down to lock it in. If you leave the new retainer in and try to install the cable with the old retainer still on the cable, it won't work. Because of poor access, it took a few minutes for me to realize the new board had a retainer already installed. Hope that makes sense and helps.
