What is the impact of using WD40 on rollers?

Not sure what you mean.

I can say that WD-40 is not a great lubricant.
You are much better off with sewing machine or 3 in 1 oil.

Not sure what you mean.

I can say that WD-40 is not a great lubricant.
You are much better off with sewing machine or 3 in 1 oil.
Also do not go crazy with the oil as it will hold lint.

I was reading one of threads and it mentioned not to use WD-40, which I did obviously. I was wondering the downside of using it.

It just does not last very long so you end up having to re-oil it.
