""Again please read thru the post FAV6800A/FAV9800A Outer Tub bearing replacement so you have a feel for the rebuild process and the pitfalls that I and other DIY owners ran into. Some walked away from the process…..it’s not for everyone. I feel anyone with basic hand tool skills can do the rebuild with a little guidance. I have only firsthand experience with my Series 10 FAV6800A Outer Tub rebuild. I feel I will have no problem rebuilding my Series 17 and 16 machines that use the integrated Lower Outer Tub bearing assembly at very reasonable cost.""

Dick- my series 16 and your series 10 looked exactly the same I used the same brgs you did.

5 Kids - ordering the parts and the tub and paddle wheel clean-up is worse than the tub overhaul. This was my first time at trying washer repairs and I lived to tell about it... Dave

Just wanted to post up a big THANK YOU for this thread.
I didn't read through all 11 pages as I found everything I needed on the first page.
Was fortunate to need just a cleaning and was more than fortunate to such a problem free dis-assembly/reassembly of the clutch.

Got a smooth running washer now.

Again, THANK YOU, Dick, Kenneth, and the rest of you for putting out the info.

-Kris

I found you answering to another post that describes the only other issue I am having on this washer...
http://forum.appliancepartspros...tener-wont-dispense.html

The fabric softener doesn't dispense.

Should I repost a new thread, post up on that one, or stay here?

As far as the clutch repair that fixed the unbalanced load, I still can't describe how awesome it is to have a washer not bang all around and make that awful ruckus.
It runs better than I ever recall it running.

I would recommend continuing on the dispenser thread, so all the information on that topic stays together. Dave
