The Rotary Knob on my Thermador Electric Range has become unuseable .. "stripped" is the best word I can describe it as.

The knob is used to set "bake", broil", "clean", etc...... by rotating through different click positions, and then then with a lighter touch (no clicking) the temperature can be set by applying pressure to the knob (left or right) without clicking.

I believe that I need item #5 here (selector switch w\BUSS) :

Replacement parts for THERMADOR CT130 | AppliancePartsPros.com

Can anyone help ? Not sure if this will be th only part I need .....

How difficult will it be to get at the switch ?

Any help / ideas welcomed.

Thanks in advance

I know this is an old post and I hope you found your rotary switch. I just moved into a house that has the same oven and can't figure the oven out.

Do you happen to have the owner's manual? I can't seem to find it online. I can't even change the clock and can't figure out how to use the self clean (I get and E3 message).

Would appreciate if you could help.

Hi - I have the same problem with the same rotary switches on my Thermador CT227. Symptom is that it's difficult (many tries are needed) to set a temperature, start a clean cycle, etc. Upper oven simply can't be set to clean any more.

I have a replacement switch; seems to be common across the Thermador range, have the "control compartment" lid pulled off, but can't figure out how to either:
1) remove the existing switch, and/or
2) remove the front control panel to access any hidden screws, clips, etc.

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks,

Mike
