Please help! The ice dispenser, water dispenser, and light on the freezer door has stopped working. It started out as an intermittent problem, but now doesn't work at all. Any ideas?

Hi.

Locate at the bottom of the freezer door wire harness going inside. Check the wires for damage.
Install the butt connectors on the broken wires and put electrical tape.

Thank you. Post the results.

Simon.

Thanks for reply.

There appears to be no damage to wires. I have disconnected and re connected with no change. I have seen a replacement part for the wiring harness, but don't see where/how I would change it. Any other ideas?

Hi.

Using the multimeter check if you are getting any voltage at the disconnect plug at the bottom of the door.
If there voltage present then using the flat screw driver unsnap dispenser front cover at the bottom and remove it.
Remove the control bracket and check it for broken switch pins.
The control bracket Part number: AP2988571

I am trying to figure out if it is getting power. In the meantime, here are photos of what it looks like under the door.
Are you referring to removing the cover on the front of the freezer door?

Hi.

Remove the black insulation and expose the wires. Check them if needed- repair.
Disconnect the plug and check voltage there.
Then go to the water and ice dispenser to check the bracket.

Thank you.

Simon.
