Hi, The soap door on this dishwasher will not open. I removed the inside cover and cleaned the inside of the cover and mechanism but still no luck. It seems to operate by hand by sliding the plastic rod up. I was wondering if it could be the electric controll that has the 2 plastic spring loaded arms that attach inside to operate the soap door. Any Ideas?
thanks,
Ron

Here is a wiring diagram https://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%208533345.pdfYou will see that the dispenser is opened using a wax motor, perhaps this is shot. Check it with a meter. Basically it is a piston which is moved in and out by the melting/expansion of wax. If the heater inside it is open it will not run. |

Hi, I tested the wax motor as you said and had 1300 ohms across the soap side and 1100 ohms across the rinse side so I am assumimg that all is ok. Any other suggestions? Thanks for your help

If the wax motors are OK and the dispenser is OK mechanically then the board is probably shot.
You may want to try running the diagnostics. |
