We were having some difficulty with our Maytag clothes washer. Cloths dripping wet, a lot of wobble. Upon inspection I found a hand full of white powdery plastic dust like substance on the bottom plate inside the cabinet. I replaced the snubber and reassembled. Now the agitator will not turn. I tried all settings, regular wash, wrinkle free wash and delicate wash but the agitator will not work. Could I have done something to the agitator to keep it from working? Is the $250.00 trans now broke? Please tell me this is't so.........

Hi,

What did you take apart when you replaced the snubber ring?
Can you turn the transmission pulley by hand?

1st removed elec plug, water hoses, drain hoses from wall.
2nd removed drain hose and level sensor from outer tank.
3rd laid washer on back and remover belt, set waher back up right.
4th lifted top cover and removed front pannel.
5th removed 6 tention springs.
6th lifted tanks out of the cabinet and placed on the floor upside down.
7th just loosened the 6 screws holding the snubber plate in place and removed snubber.
8th cleaned and reversed steps to get things back together.
