My icemaker started to not stop making ice:( ...... it continued to make ice even when the feeler arm was in the stop position:confused: . I took the mounting plate off to see if I could see what the problem was. I couldn't find anything visably wrong so I put the mounting plate back. Now.... no water goes to the icemaker but the icemaker still continues to run without any water going to it:mad: . If I pour water into the tray, it will freeze the water and dispense the cubes into the ice bucket. Can you tell me how to fix this problem and what parts I'll need to replace with new parts.:) Water does still come out of the water dispenser on the refrigerator/freezer door.

Try swapping the wires on the dual water inlet valve. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

Now the water despenser does not work until the icemaker cycles and drops the cubes... then it despenses about 3/4 cup of water without pushing the despense pad. But there is no water going to the icemaker even when I push the despense pad on the water despenser. The ice maker still cycles even though there is no water (ice) in the icemaker. Can you help fix this problem? What or any new parts needed? THANKS A BUNCH!!!

The one side of your water inlet valve is not working. It might just be stuck and playing around with it might fix it or just replace the entire water inlet valve.

I can replace the water inlet valve no problem... THANKS! But what about the icemaker continually making ice and not stopping, even when the feeler arm is in the stop position? What would cause that to happen? Is there a part to replace to correct that problem?

There is a switch the arm has to "make" to stop the process. Take the plastic end cover off the ice maker and look for what moves when the arm is lifted up and down. I have had to slightly bend parts so the switch would be contacted.
