I have a GE Front Load Washer, Model WBVH6240. It recently stopped spinning. I removed the front service panel and drained the tub using the drain plug. The filter was not clogged, however, I removed the pump to verify that nothing was stopping the impellar from rotating. I also put external power while it was out of the washing machine to see that it works. The pump works fine.
Then, I went through the test list in "Service Mode". When I initiated "T10" tumble test it did NOT tumble, but displayed no error. However, when I ran "T11" spin test it immediately returned a current error of 0 RPM.
In the "FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN ONLY" guide that is on the washer's top lid does not have this code listed in the troubleshooting chart, on what may be causing this error or a solution on how to fix it.
Any help in determining how to fix this washer would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Keith

Keith,
While the washer was in the Test mode had you able to recall the error codes stored in the memory by running "t02" test mode? If not then run it again.

Gene,
Yes - I had 3: E70: so I removed the control panel and wiped clean all the buttons E30: I cleaned the filter trap, I removed the pump, disassembled it, I only checked to see if it worked with external power (my volt meter is on the fritz) which it did, so I re-assembled and reinstalled. E31: I didn't really do anything for this, since it was a timeout error. or it was associated with the stuff in the filter trap.
I cleared the codes. Then, ran the tests. No new codes were generated.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for the reply, Keith

Keith,
Run the "t04" & "t05" test modes and post the results.

Gene,
T04: Do you want every code that is displayed with each button? When I did T05:pump ran for about a minute.
I'll rerun later. I have a class to go to, so it will be after 8pm est.
Thanks, Keith

Gene,
t05: P is displayed and pump runs for 1 minute then t05 is redisplayed.
t04: codes 012, 123, 234, 345, 456, 567, 678, 789, 890, 901 - every key beeped and the codes continue to loop until I touch the power key.
t03: cod 100, ee 010, inv 095
t02: still only read E00
*Normal ops mode In "Drain & Spin cycle" 1. door locks 2. drum rotates one way about 3 rotations 3. drum rotates back the other way about the same 4. door un-locks 5. door relocks after about 15 seconds 6. pump starts to run, but drum doesn't rotate (spin)
Thanks, Keith

Try to reprogram the control board: Enter test mode and select t01. Rotate the cycle knob until the correct model number is displayed: Select 1 for model WHDVH626F Select 2 for model WCVH6260F Select 3 for model WBVH6240F Press and hold the Start key for 3 seconds (or until a second beep is sounded). Press the Power key to reset the control. If it would not help then the control board most likely has to be replaced. - The part number for the control board assembly is AP3995160Gene.

Hi Guys,
How do you enter test/service mode? I tried press Signal-Delay-Signal-Delay per service instruction but it doesn't seem to work. All I got is the beeping sound.
Thanks, Yiming
